When a large tree has to come down in a confined space — close to a house, fences or a neighbour’s garden — straight felling usually isn’t an option. On this job we brought in a crane and an experienced climber to dismantle the tree safely, section by section. Each limb and length of trunk was rigged, cut and lifted clear by the crane rather than dropped, keeping everything under control and protecting the surrounding property. Once the tree was down, the timber was processed on site, the brash chipped, and the area left clean and tidy.

A few clips from the day — the crane lift, the climber up top and the tree coming down piece by piece.
Crane-assisted dismantling lets us take on the biggest and most awkwardly placed trees with minimal risk and disruption — no dragging heavy timber across lawns, and far less time on site.
