It depends on whether the tree has a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or sits within a Conservation Area. TPO trees require consent from your local planning authority before any work begins. In Conservation Areas, most tree work on trees over 75mm diameter requires six weeks prior notification. We check both before any job starts and handle the application process for you.

We give you the choice. Logs can be left split and stacked for firewood, left whole, or removed from site. Chippings can be spread as mulch on borders — good for the garden and it saves a skip — or removed. If it needs clearing, it gets cleared.

For trees directly on live conductors we coordinate with the relevant utility company. For trees near buildings we section fell as required and use rigging to control timber descent.
